Why you should consider giving beeswax candle for Christmas

Christmas Preparations are either annoying or fabulous. Some people get really excited by everything to do with Christmas – we have a friend who bounces straight from Halloween to Christmas in one amazing fairy-lit pounce. But maybe you’re also a bit fed up with everything.

It’s true that there is a lot of materialism at Christmas. Here are FinlayBee HQ we’re quite proud of how things are going. We’re actually experimenting with home made cosmetics this year – coconut oil as a base, then using some honey, oats, coffee grounds, and some essential oils. Sounds weird but actually it’s working well.

There are so many options out there and we hate the fact that we’re getting bombarded with marketing messages. So if you’re all sorted then that’s great. We’ve just sent an odd email to the VIPs (if you’re not already a VIP then you’re missing out!). The email was sent to try and help them with preparations, and in it we were moaning about the marketing messages we’re all receiving at the moment. But it in itself was a marketing message so we were contradicting ourselves.

If you’re looking for a gift that’s sustainable, cute, easy to wrap, and safe, then look no further than our beeswax candles or our beeswax food wraps. Ideal for Christmas, and so giftable that you might as well buy something for yourself too.

The good thing about our food wraps is that you don’t need to use clingfilm. Using single-use plastics really should be avoided if you can.

But the most important thing is to remember that Christmas is a time for family and love. This year in particular it’s so important to pass on these messages.
